Platform
Settlement
Understand direct wallet settlement and what Outpay does not do.
Settlement is direct, wallet-to-wallet:
- The merchant registers a payout wallet and proves ownership of it.
- Outpay embeds that recipient address in every new checkout.
- The customer sends USDC on Base to the recipient address.
- Outpay's payment matcher verifies the transfer and notifies the merchant.
Outpay does not custody customer funds, hold a merchant balance, sweep funds, or execute a payout transaction anywhere in this flow.
No refund API
Refunds are not implemented. If a customer sends an incorrect amount, or pays after a checkout has expired, preserve the transaction evidence and use an operator-approved manual remediation process — do not represent a manual wallet transfer as an Outpay product feature.
